Behind the Scenes of “Seen & Heard”

Local Montreal production company Picture This Productions produced “Seen & Heard”- a CBC web documentary series about a theater production where the cast and crew are made up of both deaf and hearing people. Since I’m fluent in sign language originally they contacted me to be the cinematographer, but I was VERY pregnant and would give birth mid production. When they contacted me a year later and asked me to voice interpret the footage I was excited to see what they had captured. They had 33 hours of footage of the deaf participants signing, and until they knew what they were saying they couldn’t write the story. After voicing the raw footage they asked me to produce a series of online marketing videos for the series highlight the unique nature of the project. The docu-series was awarded ‘Best Documentary’ at the Sicily Web Fest 2019. Awarded Best Documentary / Reality Series at the MN Webfest 2019
